The conflict in the Middle East continues to impact our campus and our work as scholars, teachers and community members. Many of us have questions about academic freedom, and many of us are ourselves experiencing tense classroom discussions and student interactions.

This is the third in a series of panel discussions, hosted by the Office of Academic Affairs, that feature faculty from across the schools and colleges exploring topics related to academic freedom and to pedagogy. The discussion will be followed by an open dialogue between panelists and attendees.

Faculty panels on active listening in the classroom and academic freedom were held last week.
