Join the Office of Research Development (ORD) and the Syracuse Center of Excellence (SyracuseCoE) for an information session for the OPEN funding opportunity from Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E), anticipated to be released in the coming months.

This funding opportunity is anticipated to provide at least $100 million to fund 30-50 high-risk R&D projects that are targeted to enable development of potentially disruptive new technologies across the full spectrum of energy applications.

ORD will provide an overview of ARPA-E, the scope of R&D funded under past OPEN programs, an anticipated timeline for the program, and the proposal support available to applicants. ECS faculty members Senem Velipasalar and Bing Dong will discuss their experience working on successful projects with ARPA-E. SyracuseCoE will share resources that are available to assist applicants with proposed projects. Attendees will have the opportunity to share their project ideas, in an effort to establish collaborative projects.
