Please use this link to RSVP: Using VR & AR in Teaching and Learning

The Center for Learning and Student Success (CLASS) will host Ethan Fieldman, the founder of CurioXR, for conversation and demonstration of opportunities for developing and using VR and AR for teaching and learning. CLASS experimented with earlier versions of the company’s VR software for tutoring. We recently tried out updated demos of VR and AR for tutoring and classroom learning. The software is increasingly sophisticated and can be tailored to classroom or individual learning as well as tutoring.

Our peer academic coaches – one studying in Newhouse, the other in ECS – were wowed. One of the things CurioXR does is pair faculty seeking VR/AR programs for a specific purpose with student developers who know Unity. This allows tailoring of products to the needs of an individual faculty member. CurioXR does not charge the faculty member or university but requires permission to use the resulting software.
