Rezak Lecture: Vaughn Millette, Chairman and CEO of Outback Presents

This week’s Rezak lecture presents an opportunity to learn about the music business through the lens of one of the top independent promoters in the U.S.: Outback Presents. With Ticketmaster and touring business dynamics very much in the news, and discussion centered around the possibility that Ticketmaster and Live Nation are a competition-crushing monopoly, the timing is perfect for this discussion with independent business leader Vaughn Millette. Beyond his very informed take on many of the core issues at stake in the Ticketmaster debate, we will also learn about the evolving role of the music promoter overall, discuss current Outback business, deal points and approaches for success and of course hear about Millette’s career path.
