Harry Roberts ’12

Partner, Mark Music & Media Law, P.C.

Harry Roberts is a partner at the law firm of Mark, Music a& Media Law P.C, representing a diverse list of clients in the entertainment sector, including Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum RIAA certified recording artists, songwriters, mixers, producers, actors, record labels, celebrities, publishers, management companies, brands and executives. Roberts has a proactive approach in advising his clients on both short-term and long-term strategies, using his experience and relationships to help his clients achieve their objectives.

Roberts has been recognized in Forbes’ coveted “30 Under 30” list and by Billboard as one of their “Top Music Lawyers.” He began his legal career at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, one of the world’s most distinguished law firms, with a focus on corporate law. Prior to joining Mark MML, Roberts was a partner at the entertainment law firm of Roberts & Hafitz PLLC.

Roberts is a graduate of Syracuse University’s Bandier program and Cardozo School of Law. Prior to attending law school, he worked as a talent manager at an industry-leading management company which has provided him with a unique perspective as an entertainment lawyer.

 

Benjamin Landry

SVP Business and Legal Affairs, Atlantic Records

Benjamin Landry is a senior vice president in the Business and Legal Affairs department at Atlantic Records. He is from Detroit, Michigan and is a graduate of Albion College and the University of Chicago Law School. He began his career practicing corporate law at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York City and has been with Atlantic since 2015. Landry lives in Brooklyn.

Bryse Thornwell ’20

First Year Associate, Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp (MSK)

Bryse Thornwell is a Rockville, Maryland native who currently works as a first year associate in the Entertainment Transactions Department of Mitchell, Silberberg & Knupp (MSK) in their Los Angeles office. Within the entertainment transactions department, Thornwell works closely with the music and trademark groups, and her day-to-day includes drafting, editing and negotiating a wide variety of contracts for artists, producers, managers and venues.

Prior to becoming an associate, Thornwell graduated from Southwestern Law School’s Accelerated SCALE Program in 2022 where she was able to focus on a concentration in entertainment and media Law. During her time in law school, she externed with MSK where she eventually secured her current role. She graduated from the Bandier program in 2020, with a minor in sports management. Throughout her time at Syracuse, she held internships at MAC Presents, Moondog (now Carousel), Wasserman and MSK during her Los Angeles semester.

Thornwell is passionate about supporting the Bandier community, and she strives to advocate and empower young and rising professionals hailing from her alma mater.
