The oral doctoral examination of Nicholas Didio, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Friday, March 31, at 12:30 p.m. in the Physics Building, room 202/204.
Didio’s advisor is Professor Stefan Ballmer. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Steven Penn, Britton Plourde, Georgia Mansell and Walter Freeman. Professor Joshua B. Russell will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “AlGaAs Coating Studies for Present and Future Gravitational Wave Detectors.”
