Dr. Robert Doyle, Dean’s Professor of Chemistry, will give a public seminar titled The Ozempic Challenge: The Ups and Downs of Obesity Drug Development. The talk will:

  • Explain what the Doyle lab is doing to advance obesity drug development.
  • Explore history of obesity treatments and their limitations (such as side effects), leading to the need for new drug development.
  • Explain how Ozempic and other GLP-1 receptor agonists work to regulate blood sugar levels and their potential in weight management.
