We are pleased to invite you to a Fireside Chat with CNN anchor and Newhouse alumnus Boris Sanchez ’09. As co-anchor of “CNN News Central,” Sanchez is one of the leading voices at the network. He has reported for CNN as a national reporter, White House correspondent and co-anchor of “New Day Weekend.” Sanchez has led the coverage of the 2023 “Oceangate” submarine implosion, Supreme Court rulings on affirmative action, LGBTQI+ rights, the Pulse nightclub shootings and more. Following Sanchez’s coverage of the 2016 riots in Charlotte, North Carolina, CNN won an Edward R. Murrow Award for his leadership. Sanchez is a Syracuse University graduate, receiving a bachelor’s degree in broadcast and digital journalism and international relations.
