The oral doctoral examination of Nicole Spanedda, candidate for the Ph.D. degree will be held on Tuesday, September 5,  at 10 a.m. in the Center for Science & Technology, room 1-132.

Spanedda’s advisor is Professor Arindam Chakraborty. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Joseph Chaiken, Timothy Michael Korter, Atanu Acharya, and Weiwei Zheng. Professor Chilukuri Mohan will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Development of Stochastic and Time-Dependent Quantum10 Chemical Methods for Accurate Description of Light-Matter Interactions in Nanomaterials with Applications in Photoionization and Inverse Photoemission Processes.”
