The West Point Band and Syracuse University Wind Ensemble perform.
Established in 1817, the West Point Band is the United States Military Academy’s band-in-residence, tracing its roots to the American Revolution. Recognized as one of the finest performing groups in the world, its mission is unique: to educate, train, and inspire the Corps of Cadets through world-class music, and to serve as musical ambassadors of the United States Military Academy and the Army. The West Point Band is the oldest continually serving band in the United States Army and the oldest unit at West Point. It is one of the Army’s four “Special Bands.”
Based in the Setnor School of Music, the Wind Ensemble is the premiere concert wind organization at Syracuse University.
The West Point Band’s appearance is presented with the support of Syracuse University’s D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families.
