Hear photographer and visual artist Nona Faustine and Assistant Professor of Magazine, News, and Digital Journalism at the Newhouse School of Public Communications Rawiya Kameir discuss Faustine’s work, including her My Country series, currently on view at the museum.

The conversation will touch on Faustine’s engagement with history, identity, and representation as well as her interest in evoking a critical and emotional understanding of the past in order to examine contemporary racial and gender stereotypes. A reception will follow the conversation.

Free and open to the public, this program is generously support by the Humanities Center.
