Dissertation Defense: Yohannes Takele Zewale

You are invited to attend and participate in the oral doctoral examination of Yohannes Zewale, candidate for the S.J.D. degree, which will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. in 434 Dineen Hall, College of Law

Zewale’s advisor is Professor Arlene S. Kanter. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Keith James Bybee, Prema Ann Kurien, Simon W. Weschle, and Richard S. Risman. Professor Alex P Thevaranjan will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Moving Beyond ‘Descriptive Representation’ towards ‘Approval Representation’: Ensuring the Inclusion of People with Disabilities in Legislatures.”
