As a continuation of 2023 The D.E.I.A. Symposium, which sought to spark diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility across campus, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion presents a series of sessions that feature students, staff, and faculty who submitted symposium proposals on various D.E.I.A. topics. Registration for each session is required.  Please note that this session will be virtual; A Zoom link and calendar invite will be sent to participants.

“The Land You’re On: Acknowledging the Haudenosaunee” is a 12 part audio series incorporating interviews and conversations with Indigenous community members and allies, providing the context necessary to understand the complicated history of the land we all inhabit. The series premiered in November 2022, receiving funding support from Libraries Administration and The Office of the Chancellor. In an effort to provide avenues to further self-education by students, researchers and listeners alike, we created a Libguide: a content and resource management system tying together links to articles, videos, books and other resources. This effort was led primarily by InclusiveU student intern Joshua Miner in consultation with Social Sciences Librarian Winn Wasson and Michael Pasqualoni, Librarian for the Newhouse School of Public Communications and Jim O’Connor, Producer from the Special Collections Research Center at the Libraries.

We will detail the creation of the Libguide and Joshua’s experience working with different Libraries professionals to provide this valuable resource.

Kindly please make accommodation requests at least one week prior to the event.
