Join us in welcoming back alumna Sandhya Bathija ’03 for a special Lunch and Learn as part of our Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month celebration. Please RSVP for this special Lunch and Learn event no later than Friday, April 12.

About Sandhya Bathija

Sandhya is a nonprofit executive. She has led grassroots and communications campaigns for many Washington, D.C.-based organizations, including the Center for American Progress, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Asian Americans Advancing Justice and Americans United for Separation of Church and State. Currently, she leads the communications efforts for Campaign Legal Center, a national nonpartisan legal organization committed to advancing democracy through law. While at Campaign Legal Center, Sandhya oversees the team that produces the two-time Webby-award winning podcast, Democracy Decoded.

Prior to working in nonprofits, Sandhya was a reporter for The National Law Journal and practiced law for a small civil rights firm in Detroit, Michigan, representing clients in police misconduct cases.

She has a law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and degrees in journalism and history from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. She is a member of the Michigan Bar.

Sandhya is passionate about helping nonprofits achieve their missions and is committed to a career advancing social justice and democracy.
