Dissertation Defense: Aaron Blasyak

The oral doctoral examination of Aaron Blasyak, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, which will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. via Zoom.

Blasyak’s advisors are Professor Jackie Orr and Gretchen Purser. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Cecilia Green, Robin Riley, and Andrew London. Professor Erin J. Rand will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Queering the Nation or Nationalizing Queerness?: How LGB-Identified Soldiers Experience Belonging and Service Post-DADT.”
