New Zoom Seminar Series for Students and Postdocs

Meet and chat with our guests from academia, industry and National Institutes to learn about careers you can pursue and ways to get there.

Join us for a chat with Seongjin Park on February 28 at 4 p.m. via Zoom. Park obtained his Ph.D. at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and did a postdoc at the University of Chicago, where he built super-resolution microscopes to peek into cells. He worked as a senior engineer at Illumina (a biotechnology company) before coming back to academia as a research assistant professor at SU. Join us and learn: Why do gene sequencing companies hire physicists? How is work in a company different from work in academia?
