Dissertation Defense: Deyasini Dasgupta

The oral doctoral examination of Deyasini Dasgupta, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Tuesday, May 7, at 1:30 p.m. EST in Hall of Languages, room 441A.

Dasgupta’s advisor is Professor Stephanie Shirilan. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Katherine Schaap Williams, Dympna Callaghan, Scott Manning Stevens and Crystal L. Bartolovich. Professor Brian Brege will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “”‘Rude, Misshapen, Monstrous Rabblement’: Race, Disability, and Gender in Early Modern England”.”
