Dissertation Defense: Erqi Cheng

The oral doctoral examination of Erqi Cheng, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Friday, May 10, at 9:00 a.m. in Eggers 151 and via Zoom.

Cheng’s advisor is Professor Norman Alan Kutcher. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors George L. Kallander, Yan Liu, Marta Hanson, and Susan Branson. Professor Gareth Fisher will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Curing Bodies with Bodies: Renyao (Human-derived Drugs) in Late Imperial China.”
