The oral doctoral examination of Dominique Walker, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Friday, April 5, at 12 p.m. via Zoom.

Walker’s advisor is Professor Deborah Coolhart. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Rashmi Gangamma, and Linda Stone Fish. Professor Ambika Krishnakumar will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate’s dissertation is: “Twice as good: A constructivist grounded theory study on the socialization process of  Black middle-class families and how this shapes the parent-child relationship.”
